Sweet as an Angel- Nashville Newborn Photography

This little girl is so precious.  I love the little wrinkle in her chin.  There is nothing more rewarding than see the results of a newborn session.  Newborns are best in the first 7-8 days so it is a good idea to find a photographer BEFORE you deliver.  Better yet, go ahead and book a maternity session to record that sweet bump!  For the whole month of September, receive a complimentary MATERNITY SESSION when you book your newborn session.  The newborn or maternity session does not have to take place September, as long as you book in September.

Waiting on “L”- Nashville Maternity & Newborn Photographer

Not only is this expecting mommy beautiful, but you should here her sing!  I had the joy of photographing this sweet family tonight.  I went to college with Emily and always thought she was such a beautiful person inside and out.  She is such a talented person and is working on setting up an etsy store to sell all sorts of crafty items.  I hope to feature her soon on my “Feature Friday”.  She is expecting her second little girl in November.  She was a trooper for her maternity shoot.  She was less than thrilled to wade through the mossy creek, but she did it and we got some gorgeous shots.  I am so looking forward to taking her newborn & family photos soon!

From time to time, I’d love to share with my readers pictures and stories from my personal life and just feel like this picture is too good not to share.  My daughter is my crazy, but wonderful inspiration.  My love for photography truly deepened when she came into this world.  Capturing moments of her life became so special to me.  She is such a crazy, fun, silly girl, but every time she had her pictures taken, she would turned into an absolute grump! I hated that the photographs didn’t capture her smiles and silliness.  It is my goal with every session to spend time making sure to capture the essence of your children (even if that means staying a little longer to get that smile)!!  I hope you all get a laugh out of this picture.  It is not one for the walls, but is precious none the less because it is so her and that is what photography is about to me.  I am truly blessed!

Everyone has photographers that inspire and one of my all time favorite newborn photographers is Laura Brett.  For those of you that don’t  follow photography, Laura Brett is like a celebrity in the photography world with over 10,000 Facebook fans.  I had the wonderful opportunity to mentor with her and was so blown away at how successful she is at 30 years old.  Laura’s workshops are much more than baby posing as she also covers the business aspects of photography.  Lets face it, if you are an amazing photographer, but lack business knowledge, you won’t go anywhere!  I would highly recommend her newborn workshop to any newborn photographer ready to take their business to a whole new level!

I’m really excited to introduce Tracey Lahaie Spencer from Mes Belles Fleurs- Unique Hair Accessories for my very first “Feature Friday”.  I first found Tracey on Etsy and purchased one of her headbands and fell in love and had to get more!!  I was so impressed with how well they were made.  Tracey says “I think the main thing that makes my business unique is the fact that all my flowers in my shop are handmade by me. I don’t use any store bought flowers and I really hope I can keep it that way for a long time.  I am always trying new things and want to keep my shop fresh and updated as much as I can. This is one of my favorite maternity pictures.  I’m going to miss all this green in the winter, though it will be nice to get a break from this heat!  MATERNITY PICTURES are best at 30-32 weeks, but the very best time to do them is when YOU feel most comfortable.  If you are expecting I would love to discuss a maternity/newborn package with you!

What to wear tip:  For family portraits it is best to pick outfits that coordinate, but don’t match.  For example, you don’t want to all wear the same color blue shirt.  Try different variations of blue.  Please let me know if you would like to BOOK A FAMILY PORTRAIT SESSION today!
