I was honored to photograph the wedding of Boone & Kira this past Saturday.  This is one of my favorite couples.  I had a blast taking their engagement photos.  They are so natural in front of the camera and they have such a fun relationship so photographing them is easy!  I just keep my camera ready and capture their true love for each other.  Thank you for letting me share in your big day!  Huge thanks to my friend Megan for assisting and 2nd shooting.  I couldn’t have done it without you!

This little guy is too cute for words!  He was very awake when I first arrived, but fell fast asleep and we got some precious newborn shots.  I love how unique each newborn session is.  I took maternity pictures for this mom a month ago and loved getting to know them so of course I was very excited to visit with them again and meet their new addition.  Meet Mr. “C”!  Thank you so much for Buggy’s Handmade Creations for the adorable owl hat that happen to match his nursery!

Displaying your Family Photos- Child & Family Photography in Nashville

I love these Wall Display Guides.  They are just a great way to show was your portraits will look like in your home.  Since I sell digital files I like to give my clients ideas on how to display the pictures they receive.  Don’t forget once you get your CD of images to get them up on your walls!!  The sooner you do it the more likely you are to get it done.  I know sometimes it’s hard to find time to actually get the images from the CD to a print so if you would like me to order the prints for you let me know.  If you need ideas on how to display them, let me know.  I can use the pictures of your family and plug them into this guide to give you an idea of how they will look!

What to Wear Wednesday for Boys! Murfreesboro Child & Family Photographer

I thought it would be fun to have a What to Wear Wednesday just for boys!  Here are a few outfits that I put together that would be great for a Child Session.  A lot of places are having great sales right now so it is a great time to get some outfits for your upcoming photo session.  I also noticed that TJ Max and Marshall’s shelves are packed full with all their new fall items which is a great time to get a good deal on summer items and get first pick on fall items.  Fall is just around the corner and November is booking up fast.  If you would like to book Family Sessions for your Christmas cards, now is the time to do it!  I hope you enjoy this Wednesday’s What to Wear Guide for boys!

I had such a wonderful time with this family.  We could not have asked for a more beautiful day for a shoot.  The weather cooled down and then sun was just beautiful.  This shot is one of my all time favorites now.  We did this shoot at my grandmothers farm in Nashville and the horses were determined to get their picture taken.  This is what you get when you mix a beautiful family, beautiful horse, and beautiful sunset!  November is almost full so don’t wait to book your fall family session.

Growing Baby Bump! Murfreesboro Maternity Photography

Look at this beautiful baby bump!  I had so much fun getting to know this couple.  They are such a joyful and fun couple and it shines through.  I am so looking forward to taking newborn pictures of their newborn boy soon!

“M” is 6 Months Old!! Franklin Baby & Child Photographer

I was so excited to get to see this family again today.  I took “M’s” 3 month shots and he still has the most beautiful blue eyes I’ve ever seen!  The family picked out an awesome spot for our shoot. For “M’s” 3 month shots, daddy kept pulling out all these awesome antique props and this time they picked out a great location. I think they have an eye for photography! “M” is one of my favorites and he was such a good boy.  I did not do a thing to his eyes, they really are this beautiful!  “M’s” family bough my “baby steps” package so I’m so excited to get to watch him grow for his 9 month and 1 year pictures too!  I so enjoying watching these little ones grow!

Photoshop Friday- Nashville Maternity & Newborn Photographer

It’s time for another Photoshop Friday!  As I have mentioned in previous posts, photography is an art and part of what you are paying for in custom photography is the photographers artistic eye.  Take the picture below for example.  The straight out of camera Maternity Picture looks okay but doesn’t really pop until I add my artistic vision.  This is a huge reason why I choose the pictures that are in client galleries.  It is sometimes hard for clients to visualize what pictures will look like once they have been edited.  It is actually a great service, because looking through too many pictures is overwhelming.  That is why I select the best pictures for you to view.  I hope you enjoy this before and after!  Stay tuned for more Photoshop Fridays!

What To Wear Wednesday- Nashville Child & Family Photography

I have found as I’ve been working on my “What to Wear Wednesday”, that it is much easier to plan outfits out online!  The first thing I usually do, is pick out a dress for mom, because mom is usually the most picky about what she is wearing and how it looks.  Then I just try to coordinate the family outfits pulling out shades from moms dress. Family Sessions are all about expressing the personality of your family.  If your family is outgoing and energetic, pick bold colors that represents that.  If your family is more shy and reserved, lighter colors might fit your family personality best.  The outfits you pick truly make a huge difference on how your pictures will look so make it a priority when planning your FAMILY PHOTO SESSION to plan ahead so everyone shows up looking and feeling their best!
