Bubble Mini Sessions | Nashville Child & Family Photographer

We had the best time with our Bubble Mini Sessions this year. This was the first year these were held and it certainly will not be the last. I purchased a vintage clawfoot tub last year and had it painted by a local painter in Murfreesboro, TN. I had been planning these sessions for a while and they proved to be some of my favorite minis! I love minis and I think the part that I enjoy the most is styling them. The girls wore swimwear from Dollcake and Janie and Jack and the boys wore some adorable vintage suspender shorts. Bubbles, balloons and fish really just make for a fun shoot! I look forward to offering Bubble mini sessions in the future. Country Cove Christmas Mini Sessions | Nashville Child Photographer

We had such gorgeous weather for our Christmas Mini Sessions this year! I always enjoy mini sessions because it gives me a chance to see some old clients and meet some new ones as well! I had so much fun styling these sessions and everyone was so wonderful to work with. The sessions were again held at Country Cove Tree Farm in Murfreesboro, TN. The farm has been kind enough to let me shoot there the past 3 years and they are so wonderful to work with. If you want a wonderful Christmas experience, I’d highly suggest visiting the farm and picking out your Christmas Tree this year! Huge thanks to them for allowing me to use their beautiful land again this year! Thank you everyone for another great year of Christmas Minis! Sweet Baby Boy | Nashville Newborn Photographers

It’s raining baby boys! I’ve had so many baby boys lately! These little guys were our Newborn Models for my mentorship with Kristen Mackey of Son Kissed Photography. Can I just say Kristen is amazing?! There are sooo many workshops available out there now for photographers and some of them are amazing photographers, but not everyone has the gift of teaching. Kristen is very patient, kind and most of all is a wonderful teacher. Even though she is the best in the business, she is so humble and I had a wonderful time getting to know her, but enough about Kristen! Take a look at these adorable baby boys!

Why oh Why am I the worst blogger ever?? Especially with sessions like this one? This is one of my favorite clients. I had the pleasure of taking big brothers newborn and 1 year sessions and was so excited when she contacted me about capturing baby #2. This momma was glowing at her session and so willing to try anything. I definitely think it is safe to say that big brother thoroughly enjoyed this shoot. I can’t wait to meet little brother!

Horizon Photography Workshop | Nashville Child Portrait Photographer

I had the wonderful opportunity recently to take an amazing workshop by Anja Photography and Leah Robinson Photography. In the photography world, these ladies are celebrities and it is a dream just to get a spot in their workshop. Their work is flawless and meaningful and each image captures you and tells a story. There are plenty of workshops available to photographers these days and finding the right one is difficult. I was looking for a workshop that would push me beyond the technical aspects of photography and challenge me to become better at telling stories through my photography. This workshop was just what I needed to move me forward in my journey to tell a story and create true art through my images (I also got some beautiful images of my daughter via homework assignments too=). Sweet Baby Boy | Nashville, Tennessee Newborn Photographer

I got the chance to photograph this sweet baby boy this week. I had double the cuteness because this little guy brought along his big brother for some sibling photos. When parents tell me they are bringing along the 2 year old sibling, I never know exactly what I’m going to get. All children are different and handle babies differently, but this little guy was an angel!! He was one of the best behaved 2 year olds I’ve ever photographed and when his patience wore off, he responded very well to bribery through gummy treats! haha!

Back to the star of the shoot though! This little guy was adorable and even though he made me work hard to straighten out those sweet fingers It was so worth it so we could see how sweet and perfectly little they were! I so enjoyed photographing this little guy and his precious tiny little details!

Please remember newborn sessions occur in the first 5-12 days of life so we can get all of these sweet squishy poses. It is important to book your newborn sessions early. They grow so quickly and you will not want to miss out on capturing every tiny detail!

Could this baby girl be any prettier? This is what mom looked like 8 days after giving birth so this sweet girl has some pretty good genes going on! I was so in love this this baby girl with her head full of hair and the longest eye lashes! She was so good for her newborn session and we got so many gorgeous shots. I love my job and capturing these first moments. Those first few days of life when newborn pictures are taken are so precious because newborns change so fast and you will yearn to remember those tiny details forever.

Had a wonderful time meeting this sweet couple last night. They are awaiting their first baby and IT’S A BOY! I cannot believe what gorgeous weather we had for the middle of January! We met up at Harlinsdale Farm in Franklin, TN and got some lovely shots. This mother is the definition of “pregnancy glow”. She is just beautiful inside and out. They are part of my baby steps program so I will get to meet their sweet baby soon! I love doing maternity sessions because it not only gives me the chance to capture such a beautiful moment, but I love meeting the parents prior to their newborn session and building that relationship. I love my job!

Christmas Mini Sessions | Country Cove Tree Farm, Murfreesboro, TN Child Photographer

We could not have asked for better weather for our Christmas Mini Sessions this year! Last years christmas sessions were such a big hit that we added a 3rd day this year. I love Christmas Minis because I get to see so many familiar faces. I loved seeing several clients that were enrolled in my baby steps program that I had not seen since they completed their one year sessions. I Love watching these kids grow! We had such a good turnout and had fun with our Christmas Candy Cane Stand, Teepee and the Christmas Express! I’m already thinking of new ideas for next year! Huge thanks to Country Cove Tree Farm in Murfreesboro, TN for allowing us to use their property again. It is the prettiest tree farm around and our Christmas Minis would not have been nearly as cute without the beautiful location! Thank you for trusting me to capture your precious memories. This family could win an award for best dressed hands down. I have had the privilege of shooting this family since mom was pregnant with her youngest and they amaze me every time they show up for a shoot. They always have the best attitudes and look fantastic. Everyone was sporting their Matilda Jane except dad (they need a boy/mens line)!! It is always a joy working with this family!
